That is a sizable transfer case skid spacer. That would be the main reason you are not experiencing vibrations in the driveline. If you want to remove those spacers, and get your skid back up where it should be, the SYE and a CV rear drive shaft will be needed. A lot of places sell them together as a set.

Thanks for the compliments. Just went with 10.5" 33's with the 8" rims that I had. New wheels weren't in the budget and I really don't like the look of 12" tires on 8" wheels. Saving up for SYE with CV rear driveshaft for my next project. Getting rid of that dropped pitman arm was like night and day on the steering wandering.
 
Yep, 10.5" is an ideal width for the road. Nothing wrong with wider tires, but if you do most of your driving on-road, the wider tires won't perform as well (especially in the rain and the elements). Sure, off-road they will do better (especially when aired down), but for mostly on-road, I would stick with a 10.5" or close to that.
