What’s the secret to getting new roll bar (or sport bar) pads onto the front section? I can’t seem to get it to slide over without catching the padding and tearing it up.

The factory padding is only padded on the lower section. The zipper is on the top away from the padding.

You have to take the spreader bar apart to get the padding on/off. There’s a bolt on it you can use to separate it, just be sure to mark where the bolt was when you put it back together so the bar is the same length, otherwise you could have issues with the windshield leaking/not sealing.

I have the bar disassembled and the old padding off, but the new padding from the kit I got is giving me issues. The foam seems to be a little thicker and catches on the open end of the bar as I attempt to slide it on. I tried putting baby powder on the bar and foam to reduce friction with no avail. I tried a screwdriver and a dental pick but there’s just not enough room for those to work.
