Interesting squeal noise

So the damn jeep started squealing today. But only under certain circumstances.

Only between 2250 and 2500 RPMs
Only when A/C is on.
Only while holding at that RPM or decelerating through it.

It doesn't do it while accelerating through the RPMs
I doesn't do it when the a/c is off.

Does not matter what gear im in or in neutral same range.


Its the darndest thing i have seen in a while. Thinking about shooting some belt conditioner. But it to damn hot to work on.

Looks like im going to have to figure out what the hell is going on with it.

Sounds like a bearing is going on one of the pulleys. Idler is always the suspect one that seems to cause this issue most, at least in my experience.

I have that dump manual tension through the power steering pump. Its such a pain to get the correct amount on it.

Hopefully the temperature will start to go down and i will be able to troubleshoot it better.

Looks like this weekend then next weekend, then low 100's. So two more weeks and we should be close to normal again. It is pretty relentless for sure.
