Is it a bad idea to go with a remanufactured brake booster?

I understand that, but I thought maybe I was having an issue with mine based on my observatios because I don't know much about them. Still possibly could be, not sure until I take the suggestions and try them first.

Thanks for all the input and suggestions. I took the caliper off last night and started cleaning and lubricating all mating surfaces and guide rods with silicone brake grease only to find that the piston would hardly compress back in at all with a big c clamp even with the bleeder cracked open. The guide rods were hard to move at first too.

I think this caliper wasn't replaced like I thought it was. Bought another one and installed and bled and so far so good. Brake pedal is kinda hard but overall ok I think. Thanks everyone for not letting me jump to conclusions on other brake components. As always, I have learned a lot from this great forum.
