Is it as easy as changing shocks to improve the ride

So I’m really just after on road ride quality. I currently have the RC 2.5 lift with their upgraded upper and lower control arms. It was a cheap and quick fix to get rid of a budget lift installed by the previous owner. Doesn’t necessarily ride great. Happy with how it sits and don’t necessarily want to change the height although I’m not opposed to stepping up to a 4 inch lift. My question is, will the RC springs and control arms be fine and I can replace the shocks with a Fox or a Bilstien…or change everything over to a different setup that is a better quality.

Fox and bilsteins tend to be valved to harsh for our little Jeeps, I’d consider rancho or skyjacker black max, measure your shocks ahead of time to make sure what you are buying is around a 50/50 travel bias

I've got Black Max. I've had a couple of warranty replacements but I'd recommend them.

If you want to go all out you're going to need to do some research... outboarding the rears, coilovers...lots of options.

I removed OME off my Jeep and replaced them with black max. There was a thread on here about how wonderful OME rides. Actually a routy argument. It rode horrible with OME. It still has the OME springs but that’s another argument. So my comment was joking.

It was my daily for a while so I was just trying to get as much life out of them as I could. It’s also what my brother, who owns a tire store suggested I run them at.

My tire guys also put 35 in everything not heavy. It's a generic across-the-board pressure. I run my 33s at 25-26psi on the road, as most guys here do. My truck runs at 38 and 40psi because 35 wasn't enough. 35 is just generic ballpark pressure.

Depending on the tire and pressure, it could be bulging and causing the tire to ride high center, i.e. you're just riding and wearing out the center of the tire.

At some point of overinflation, the tire will pop.

Before that happens, the road handling will suffer and tire wear will be uneven. However, the fuel efficiency might improve some amount.
