Is the transfer case shifter panel supposed to light up or not?

Hi everyone. Just getting around to finally upgrading the bulbs in the gauge cluster and HVAC controls to LED and realized the transfer case shifter panel does not light up. Should it? I've searched and can't seem to find a definitive yes or no 😀. 2k1 Sport.

Transmission gear indicator?

If you're referring to the 4x4 light in the dash, yes. I don't believe the gear indicator on the transfer case lever lights up.

Yeah that's what I was referring to (the indicator in the lever) Didn't know if it should illuminate like it does on an auto transmission. Coincidentally indicator on the gauge was also out so just ordered this to fix it:
