Is the Warn XD9000i a good winch?

Winch parts are painted. Semi flat black and 1K matte clear. I don’t want the winch to be bumper jewelry. It’s a tool. Very rarely used in my case, but essential. I’m bringing this one back! Take special note of the wine and pipe. 😊

@JMT I am responding to a thread that is nearly one year old because . . . how did it end here??! I've been reading through front-to-back, learning things, admiring progress, anticipating a reassembled winch mounted on the front of your TJ . . . maybe even an action shot or two, for goodness sake. What the heck happened? How did this end?? As someone eying a somewhat less rough XD9i on craigslist, I need to know!! ;)

I turned off notifications when I’m tagged, so I’m sure I miss posts. Saw this one. Here are some pics of finished product. I’ve used it at least 7-10 times, and it’s working great.
