Is this amount of play in the rear tailgate glass normal?

is this amount play in the rear window normal/expected? Yes, glass is closed before tailgate. i can pull on it and a get about 1/4-1/2 of play…surprising and annoying.

what’s missing? Saw a thread for a bulb seal which I want to investigate but not sure if this amount of play is beyond what that can solve.

Bulb seal fixed it for me.

Mine would pop open on me without having to open the gate. I put this on the edge of the gate and that fixed it. I assume the bulb seal would do the same

I would be more concerned about that huge gap on the left hand side!
My 2006 factory hard top opens a bit but not as much as that.

yeah, that actually my main concern. I’m trying to wrap my head around how the bulb seal will fix that.
