Is this Kobalt air compressor good for the home garage?

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N56OXQC/?tag=wranglerorg-20

Looking for a good and inexpensive and somewhat compact air compressor that will run off a regular AC outlet that I can keep in my garage at home so that i can keep my Jeep/Mazda tires inflated properly. Is the Kobalt one above a good choice? Open to suggestions. What are you guys using?
I use this.

Are you currently invested in any battery operated tool brand?
Most of the major brands will have a air compressor in their product line up.

I recently used this unit to air up a couple flat tires on my brother in law’s travel trailer.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well it did the job.

I know you said you wanted a 110v unit but the portability of battery powered unit is a major plus IMO.

Not invested in any particular brand. I would ideally want both 110V and battery compatibility, but I suspect most of my use will be at home. When I go hiking/camping/fishing I want to be able to take it with me in case I need it. Not averse to buying two separate ones but would prefer to buy a single unit even if it's heavier/bulkier. Worried that the truly small 12V ones won't have enough air flow rate to inflate when there is a need (waiting 30min+ for inflating 1 tire will not be fun).

I’ve had a Campbell-Hausfeld from WalMart in my shop since 1996 and it does the job, plus it has wheels so I can drag it down to the cars if they can’t come up to the shop. It powers my burp gun plus my brad nailers and staplers and I don’t have any complaints.

So I have a Air compressor like @KCsTJ (except mine is Husky Home Depot) but when I built my shop, i don't have electricity out there yet and mine wouldn't run on an extension cord. So for temporary about 3 years ago I bought this one haha:

Still 3 years later and I still don't have electricity in my shop so this little guy fills tires and runs air tools. I mean it won't run a DA and has a tough time with an air ratchet although it will run the air ratchet just not great. I have also ran a die grinder with it. Cut off wheels are ify, but the wire wheel and carbide tips work, But it will run 3/8 impact guns and even 1/2 impact guns just fine. I mean I can rotate tires with no problems.

All of the work I have done on my TJ and my Wifees TJ has been done with this little air compressor in my shop. While I figure out who and how to pay for real electricity in my garage.

Sometimes you can see it show up in some of my shop photos.

I would have never thought of an 18v tool to work as an inflator. That sounds like a pretty good deal, particularly for anyone that already has bought into Ryobi for their 18v tools (that thing is only $19.97 if you don't need the battery).

Unfortunately, I bought into Makita and it seems that they don't make an inflator.

In my humble opinion the Kobalt unit in the link is more a toy than a tool.

Harbor Freight has some decent home garage 110v units for $150 or less. There are comparable compressors at Lowe's and Home Depot.

If you want something just for tires you might want to consider a portable 12v unit that you can use at home and take with you in your jeep for airing up after a run. The Viair 400P is a good buy and is often on sale on Amazon. I purchased one several years ago and carry it in my overlanding rig. I hard mounted a Viair 150H compressor under the hood of my TJ. Thank you. Let me look into that viair. I like your under hood setup!

The California air tools ultra quiets are truly ultra quiet. I have a small one in my trailer, aluminum tanks, very light and very quiet. I have two at my office for laser cutters and prototyping equipment. One in a cabinet. It has lights so you don't forget to turn it off because it is so quiet. They are very well made but not cheap. A big three phase high volume low speed scroll compressor will be relatively quiet compared to a standard shop compressor but still not as quiet. The compressors are not high volume so the bigger tanks are a must for constant use/recovery. Save your hearing.
