It's a sad, sad day

100 K? That' hardly broken in. I'm at 303K and struggling to decide if I should stroke it Hard to pull an engine that's still pulling hard without burning oil.

Get a spare 4-0 and stroke it like i did. That way the jeep isn't apart for months while you put it together.

I was kind of wanting to keep the original engine with the Jeep, but I guess it doesn't much matter. I do not like the idea of the Jeep being out of commission longer than necessary. Would also be nice to be able to take my sweet time on the stroker build.

I need to do some research to determine what years would be compatible with my '04.

My guess is '04. 😉

I think the '03 and 04' should have compatible engine harnesses with the 42rle. '05-06 switched things up and built the auto transmission harness into the engine harness (and 4 ECM plugs rather than 3).

This would be a full tear down and rebuild. I was planning to transfer all of the original power steering, head, intake header, alternator AC, OPDI
etc. to the stroker build. Was thinking mounting points and brackets would be the focus, not wiring harness and ECM/TCM?
