I wanted to introduce myself to this forum. After a (too long) break, I am back into Jeep ownership with my 2003 Jeep Wrangler SE (yep, I wanted it as 'low spec' as possible so I went with the 4 cylinder, soft top, and manual transmission. (pic below)
Anyway, the car is not without its issues (to be expected with a healthy 147k on the odometer). The clutch is a tiny bit shuddery (really not bad), but the second gear syncro is a bit tired, I really need to give it a moment when shifting 1-2 (interesting shifting from 3-2 has no problems so I assume that uses the 3rd gear syncro?). The bigger issue are all the leaks - the rear main seal is leaking, the power steering box is leaking a bit, and it seems like the radiator cap is leaking.
While I will tackle some of these issues myself, I am really on the hunt for a good jeep specialist in the San Diego/Encinitas area, (I am looking for a good independent shop that has a focus on Jeeps rather than covering a whole bunch of brands).
Do you have any recommendations?
