I apologize for posting this if it’s already been covered, however looking through the forums I wasn’t exactly able to find something that’s similar to my problem here.
99 TJ Has some issue starting again all of a sudden. I have a brand new Delphi fuel pump put it in about 2 months ago. Mine was bad - I had to turn the Jeep on and off again 4 times to get it started, it started beautifully afterwards. Changed my alternator 2 days ago because it was also bad. battery is brand new about 3 months old.
For the last week I keep getting the same issue with starting, I have to crank it 2 times to start. It’s actually getting worse and worse, each time I start the Jeep it takes longer and longer to start. I tried starting it again about an hour ago, it wouldn’t turn over and the “check guages” light came on, I turned it back off, started again, and it started up and the light wasn’t on.
Any idea what is actually happening here? Surely can’t be my brand new fuel pump going bad again?
