Differential and Driveline - 181 FBI Axle (1998 - 2006)
Also called the Dana 30, the 181FBI is a front beam type axle. All TJ Wranglers other than Rubicon models came standard witd a Dana 30 front axle.
Differential and Driveline - 216 RBI Rear Axle (1997)
These torque specs come in handy if you are changing differential fluid, rebuilding the axle, or regearing. these specs only apply for the front Dana 44 axle for TJ Wranglers. Dana 44 front axles came standard on Rubicon models, it was not available for any other models.

Differential and Driveline - 194 RBI Rear Axle (1997)
The 194 RBI is also called the Dana 35 and came standard in all TJ Wranglers other tdan the Rubicon.
Note: Refer to pinion gear removal and installation procedures for proper pinion nut tightening instructions. Do not exceed 427 N-m (315 ft. lbs.) during collapsible spacer crushing procedure.

Emissions Control (1997-2006)
The evaporative emissions (Evap) system is used to prevent hydro-carbons from escaping into the atmosphere.
Engine - 2.5L (1997-2002)
The oxygen sensors require a special socket to be removed due to the wires. Also be sure to note that there are different specs for each set of bolts.
Engine - 4.0L (1997-2006)
This engine is one of the most popular engines that Jeep has ever put into their vehicles. The torque specs needed to rebuild the inline six if the need should arise.
Engine - 2.4L (2003-2006)
This engine was used from 2003 to 2006 and served as the successor to the 2.5 liter engine.
Exhaust & Intake Manifolds (1997-2006)
The oxygen sensors require a special socket to be removed due to the wires. Also be sure to note that these are different specs for each set of bolts.
Frame and Bumpers (1997-2006)
There will be six bolts for the front bumper. Four on top and two underneath. On the rear bumper, there are two nuts that need to be removed from each side and two bolts going into the bottom side of the frame.
Fuel System (1997-2006)
Use caution when servicing any part of the fuel system. Wear safety glasses to prevent eye exposure. If gasoline gets into your eyes immediately flush them with water for 15 minutes. If irritation persists call a doctor.

Steering Linkage (1997-2006)
If you do any work on your steering or suspension it is a good policy to re-torque your steering components. With something like your steering linkage, you want to be sure everything is tight or else you could experience some vibrations.
Power Steering (1997-2006)
The power steering system in TJ wranglers changed after in 2003. Wranglers from 1997-2002 use power steering fluid, 2003-2006 use ATF 4. These fluids should not be mixed, be sure to check your owners manual for all recommended fluid types.
