Small block for sure. It's cool and all and I dig old skool sbc builds but, that is a horrible combo for off road. Good for some high rpm mud boggin though :D

I've been kicking around the idea of a SBC swap...mostly because I know where I can get a late model vortec 350 w/ Fuel Injection for probably 0 dollars. I have a hard time justifying the work to pull a perfectly good 4.0L though...The engine has over a quarter million miles on it to (no joke) without a rebuild, so I'd have to do that as well.

The Vortec 350 makes a helluva lot more sense than a '69 327 with a Holley Double Bumper (sic) on it. I grew up on motors like that, and I don't really miss 'em. That Jeep wouldn't pass inspection here in VA, nor lots of other states.
