Jeepvolution: Evolution of a Jeep owner from work to fun.
* My first Jeep was a Korean War veteran, a M38A1
( The M38A1 Truck, Utility: 1/4 ton, 4x4, or Willys MD, was a four-wheel drive, military light utility vehicle, made by Willys and Willys Motors / Kaiser Jeep from 1952 to 1971.)
my dad bought Army surplus from the American military in Ethiopia in the 1960s for Ted Shatto Safaris.
He paid $1700 for the Jeep and two trailers. Photo #1
Now I'm learning to just drive up steep places, not because I have to, but for the fun of it. Big difference in attitude.

Most of our 4X4s were the Land Rover, which was a much better safari-car.

* In September, 2018, I wrote a check for $24,500 for my 2016 Rubicon. That is some inflation. Photo #3
