Colorado Krew Hangout

Finally sticking here

I blew out my sprinklers, hoping it doesn't get hot enough to make me have to do it twice.
What compressor do you have? I need to do mine but everyone charges $50 or more. I would rather put that to my own compressor.

Speaking of compressors--I just ordered some of the bigger ticket items for my oba. Lubricator, check valve, oil filter, pressure switch, and safety valve.

Next year, you'll be blowing out your sprinklers with the Jeep for free!

I have a little pancake one from the 90s @tworley.

I doubt you can go wrong with any that Home Depot would sell for light usage, there’s a porter cable one for $99. It looks to be enough for sprinklers and most lighter air tools. Sprinklers you probably want it to get down to 50psi, I use nailers somewhat often and that’s 80-110psi (depending on the wood).

I’ve been craving a Moab trip, so it seems like we should plan one to optimize for “local” availability.

I don’t have many dates I need to be home in the spring, but I do have to book out for my family. Is anyone up to toss out dates we can share with the larger group?

I would love to go, the first time I ever went was on a trip earlier this year. We passed thru in my wife's cherokee. It killed me not having my own jeep. June thru october isn't good for me since that is my "busy" season, I could try and find time between Dec and May. Need to check into my PTO balance

Camped up above beaver lake over the weekend. Ran Hall Valley and Webster Pass. Here’s a few photos of the days.
I was going to try Redcone, but I ran into some guys that were up there and they said there was a 3 foot drift about a quarter-mile from the top And thought better of it since I was alone

I think Red Cone is going to close up pretty quick this year. We're supposed to have cold/rain next Sunday, can only imagine it brings snow up in the high country. What a short wheeling season it was this year.

Definitely a little bittersweet, it was nice to be able to have camp fires again for once. Hopefully next year things open sooner, I want to get back down to the Ouray area for a few days. I got the mrs to agree to a wheeling trip, as long as we do a night or two in civilization.

Better put a rush on it. temps are dropping fast. Unless you going to stay in a cabin or hotel.
