Colorado Krew Hangout

Last minute run!

@tworley and I are going to try and find S.O.B. Hill near Breckenridge tomorrow morning. Come with us.

Neither of us have driven this. Based on the various guides 33s and lockers minimum are required.

Meet here at 8am. We will leave at 8:15am. Bring a lunch.

I accidentally ended up on that one once. You guys will have fun, lots of loose boulders.

I've tried to find SOB twice and haven't yet. If nothing else, it will be a day of exploring and getting lost.

I’m jealous, it’ll be a fun time.

When I stumbled on it I was winding around alone for a day away - definitely wasn’t looking for anything more than the easy and scenic offshoots of Georgia Pass - there’s lots of good driving up there.

I could describe how to run it backwards 🙃

My buddy did that as a tourist Alaska. We make fun of him for it every time he brings his Alaska trip up. Pretty genius idea

There were two of them rolling around from a tour company in the area. It looked like fun.

For those wondering about S.O.B. Hill, it's an easier version of Saran Wrap. Not sure if lockers are really needed for 33s. Still a good time. S.O.B. Hill is actually a short section of Glacier Ridge Rd.

On a map it looks relatively close to wheeler lake? I wonder if it's doable in the same day with an early start...

I'm planning to getting up to Red Cone on Sunday if anyone wants to join.
First, you have to make it around the block

I've got a date on Sunday, otherwise I would tag along. Webster pass is still closed so the only way to get down is to either run the trail backwords, or drive to montezuma and take 70 back

Too true, if I get past the nearby Charbucks I am making better progress than last weekend...
