Just want to throw out a recommendation for a car hauler to trailer your Jeep.
I have an aluminum Jimglo Trailers Ego model . I will preface this Rec by warning these are not cheap - but well worth the cost in my opinion. I buy/restore/sell classic cars and originally got the trailer for hauling them around, but realized it is invaluable for hauling our trail Jeep.
First the trailer is all aluminum and very lightweight - right at 1K pounds depending on how it is set up. We pull the Jeep behind a class c motorhome and a steel trailer would put me overweight.
It has a tilt bed - so no ramps. You just pull up onto the trailer, stop when it breaks over and you are perfectly balanced.
You can get it with an integrated winch mounted in the front tool box. Have used it many times to load broken down jeeps.
Can be configured with lots of different tie down options. Mine has recessed D-Rings front & rear, rub rails, and I included full length e-track.
It has removable fenders - not a need for getting in and out of lifted jeeps but very handy when you need to crawl under the jeep for repairs etc. while it is on the trailer.
The front mounted tool box is great for storing chains, straps, chocks, etc.
I got it with rock guards, again not a big concern for jeep but helps with aerodynamics.
We have hauled our Jeep well over 10,000 miles with it, rescued broken jeeps, hauled Jeep chassis, axels, etc. along with lists of low ground clearance cars.
The folks at Jimglo are spectacular to work with.
If anyone is interested I can go into detail how I spec’ed mine out, what I would do different, etc.
