You wouldn’t be wrong!I'm pretty sure I can find old posts from our dear leader @Chris that echo the same sentiment
You wouldn’t be wrong!
That’s why it’s very unfair in the news when they dig up tweets from people’s past. People say things all the time they later realize were stupid.
In all honestly though, look at the JL half doors. They sure don’t have the same visual appeal the half doors do on a TJ.
If I was ordering a JL, they’d be on my option sheet.
I still don't see the point of half doors. Full doors, no doors, and tube doors I get.I didn't really get half doors until they were splained to me.

there isn't much in all of automotive history that has the same visual appeal as half doors on a TJ for that matter.look at the JL half doors. They sure don’t have the same visual appeal the half doors do on a TJ.
It is truely mind boggling reading the comments over there sometimes. No technical expertiseI ordered half doors with my JL. I though the guy I quoted above could only "assume" the doors came off.
I am still working on half doors for my LJR.
It is absolutely certain that the people on the JL forum know nothing about actually working on their Jeeps comported to you guys here.
I remember you saying you thought they were a fair price at $1K each! I like them so much on the LJ I was not going to miss out with the JL.Also, for what it’s worth the half doors for JLs are kind of a joke. They barely look like the half doors we are so familiar with on our TJs due to the lines. Save a bunch of weight though for sure!
The beltline on a JL is too damn high, like most other cars for the past 15 years. Especially considering it’s meant for off-road open-air driving.
