I am (gasp) thinking of trading in my TJ. I love it, but I have a long drive (FL to CO) for wheeling, and I am just not comfortable making the drive in a 14 year old vehicle.
I have 2 questions about JLs.
1. Is the 6cyl or 4 cyl turo better?
2. Is the limited slip rear differential any help off road?
Thanks,
Tom

I did CO once before from FL in my JK, but you are right, it did not seem to have that 'Jeep Thing", and I went back to a TJ. I drove to CO numerous times in a TJ when I lived in Wis., but that is a lot closer, and the TJ was a lot newer.

I have both a TJ and a JL. You are as likely to arrive in Colorado with the TJ as you are the JL. The reliability of the JL is nothing to write home about.

My TJ is almost 340,000 miles on the clock and still use it for a long drive Davenport Iowa to West Texas and back.
So that is a definition of reliability I can be proud to talk about.
