Looks a lot like the kit Paul at Fab Rats (YouTube) got from KC and installed them at KOH.

Seemed pretty robust.

I'm interested...but 15 percent off isn't much.

Yeah, I have some cheap Amazon lights I bought a couple years ago, but I’m not sure they will be worth it. KC seems to be good quality from what I’ve seen. I can’t imagine they would put out a crappy kit.

Does anyone have these as rock lights? How is the light output and are they worth the price?

KC has 15% off for their Black Friday sale.
$280 after discount for the 6 piece set with everything needed.

That‘s a lot, but I don’t mind paying it for good results vs cheaper pieced together lights and wiring and not being happy with it.

@starkey480 recently posted his install:

Thanks.

Wow! Those are really bright! Placed in some of the same locations that I was thinking of too. Sounds like he got individual lights and made his own wire harness. That’s what I was thinking of doing with the Amazon lights I have, but I don’t feel like I’m very good with electrical unless it’s spelled out for me like I’m 5 years old. 🤣

Can't speak to them as rock lights, but I have one I picked up to use as my 3rd brake light. Very bright. It's been on the TJ for 3ish years now and no issues.

I am looking to upgrade from cheap Amazon rock and HF rock lights to these. My experience with the cheap lights is that they work good until they don't. They tend to start flickering and then quit working all together after about a year (with not that much use). Paying more up front for a good light is probably the way to go.

Rock lights are a pain in the ass enough to install that I only wanted to do it once 😅

Thanks.

I’m happy with them. Wiring yourself isn’t very difficult and allows you to get a lot more lights for the $$$ but I would absolutely use uninsulated butt connectors and separate heat shrink if you do. Just wire them in parallel. Start with front fender and work your way around the Jeep.

Thank you.

Did you use a relay? From my understanding they don’t draw much power.

I recently installed LED Rock Lights on my TJ. I went with the Oracle Lighting Set with is pretty nice and it is 255 colors including white, with the control module, which works from an app on my Android phone. The color stays until you change it, and I added a LED switch Panel in my console. It also comes with a remote control changer. It was only $179, and came with everything.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BHKGQXP6/?tag=wranglerorg-20

I ended up ordering individual Cyclone V2 lights and will make my own harness and mounts. May consider their magnetic mounts too.

Thanks for all the info guys.

@starkey480 , I may bug you for some wiring questions/tips at some point, if that's ok.
