Keeping the dome light off with no doors

When I got mine in 04, it was the first vehicle I owned with a dome light that came on when the key was turned off.
I didn't like it so I pulled the fuse, because if I wanted the light, I wanted it lit on my terms.
Well the light nannies didn't see it that way, so my wonder wife cut little felt squares and sewed in velcro strips.
So when I want light, I just peel back a corner and voila, light. My wife is so bright.

I use a switch. I copied the q-tec design with parts I had laying around the garage.

(the little black throw switch on the console).

I wired mine into the switched fuse position with a fuse to protect it. The switch is mounted out of sight, just inside the glove box to the left of the latch in an existing hole in the dash. It has three positions; off, on, and off. The switch was a freebie.
