After a couple months of looking and about 1.5 week waiting on shipping my new keychain was finally delivered.

Best part is that it came with this: 2005 LJ, 135k on clock, 4” Currie lift with double adjustable uppers, Rancho RS9000XL, 33s and a few other small upgrades. Already have Savvy BL, BrownDog MML, and working on trade for 35s so some changes are coming.

Could just be the pictures but your rear axle looks to far forward to fit 35s. Good news is you have adjustable lower arms.

I noticed that as well as those are pics from sale ad. Doesn‘t look as bad in person but will have to see how everything fits once get the BL and 35s. Big reason I was happy to find this setup so can make those adjustments if needed.

In the third picture from the bottom it looks like your front pinion is rotated too high.

This is why I’m so glad found this forum. No roasting of those who are new and always willing help out. I had not noticed but does look like might be bind on joint. Looks like adjusting control arms and cycling suspension are in order. Will want to do that after BL, MML and 35s anyway I’m sure.

As I understand it, zero pinion angle takes precedence over caster angle.

Great find on that key chain and awesome they threw on the TJ U as well....lol what colour is that ?

Nothing fancy or unique but I want to keep record of process and what has been done as go along. Also have to say TY to my younger brother who is doing all work so far. Of course as noted, he also gets to keep and play with Jeep for now so isn’t such bad deal (https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/hello-from-mo-and-manila.32945/)

Found a good deal to trade my 33s for 35 Cooper STT but Covid has put that temporarily on hold due to travel restriction.

In mean time found a local package deal for set of 33s on Weld rims and 35 MTRs on black steelies that couldn’t pass up. So yes at sometime in near future going to have 3 sets rims/tires and will need to figure out what combination of these want to run. It probably will come down to ride quality between MTRs and Coopers.

Savvy 1.25” BL, Energy Suspension body mounts and BrownDog MML have been installed.

Measurements also confirmed passenger rear is sitting more forward in wheel well than driver. Checking bump stops and dialing in pinion angles and control arms definitely needed in near future.

The dreaded ‘butt-crack’

Weld Outback with fairly worn 33” Maxxis Buckshot Mudders. Rides smooth.

Cragar V-5 with 35” MTRs. Picked up some vibes with these. Will have to figure out if it is tires, poor balance or other issue. This setup really makes it clear passenger rear is not centered in wheel well.

Covid restrictions lifted so completed the trade. 5 33” Mastercraft MXT on black steelies for 4 35” Cooper STT on American Racing Baja 172. Tires are about 15/32.

Had continued to have some vibes with the 35” MTRs. Coopers ride smooth even at speed so those are for sure staying. Now to decide which rims https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/which-rim.35406/#post-581610

Those are 35s? For some reason they look more like 33s. Looks good either way though!
