35 vs 33 😉

Looks much better on the black steel spoke rims than the American Racing rims but I'm personally still liking the round-hole aluminum rims as, I think, they add to the package rather than just simply "fitting in" (and disappearing) like the black steels do.

Keeping the ‘soft 8’ rims. However, when I ordered American Racing Baja (AR1725165) for spare, it doesn’t match. So while they have AR center caps and PO said they were AR, clearly they are not. Will try ProComp 1069-5165 next.

Little front yard fun.

When pulling ‘carpet’ out of the way to run wires for sound system upgrade realized that have the front BedRug kit. Bonus!

For sound system went with following:
Pioneer DMH-1500NEX head unit and Metra 95-6541 double din dash kit
Polk DB522, Boom Mat 050321 baffle, and Innovated Designs brackets for dash
Polk DB652 in sound bar
Kicker 43CWRT672 in center console
Soundstream PN5.64OD to power everything
Stinger 6000 series 8g wiring kit, RCAs, and 14g wire to all speakers

The amp was mounted to 1/2” cutting board using M3 bolts and 10mm aluminum spacers. This fits nicely under steering column.

It does look like the factory sub was done. Kicker fits neatly into its location.

Very nice.

Hows that 6.75 kicker sound powered by the amp?

I had that same sub powered by the oem amp, sounded slightly better than the oem sub.

Then I hooked up an aftermarket amp that blew it up in about 3-4 hours of operation, oops.

So I crammed an 8 inch kicker in there, had to completely cut off the face of the sub box and replace it with 1/4" MDF.

Wish I still had pictures, but I lost them when my phone crashed.

The sub sounds really good with this amp. Amp is 200 RMS at 4ohm and sub is 150 RMS so they are pretty good match.

As the LJ was puking coolant, decided it was time to refresh the cooling system. Used this as a guide. https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/jeep-wrangler-tj-cooling-system-overhaul-faq.3397/

I didn’t follow the recommendation to use Mopar water pump. Time will tell if that bites me in ass but the Gates fit perfectly and addressed the coolant puking issue. Took several slushes following the Thermocure so may have been first time this was done.

Highline is planned down the road so when found this on CL figured might as well. Besides it matches the shiny new radiator cap and who doesn’t like bolt on horsepower 🧐.

Picked up a set of half doors. Wrong color inside and out but have several spray cans that should change that in the future.

Wanted option to run without doors so picked up these mounts for mirrors. Not sure what I think of the look but for cost they are fine for now. http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-5...0001&campid=5337789113&icep_item=154023317223

Actually isn’t as noticeable if you aren’t focusing on it.

An extra set of doors means you need a way to store set of doors. Considered building something but not sure could do it better or for less so ordered this. Very pleased with the quality. https://offroadconceptsfl.com/products/o-r-c-door-hanger-for-76-06-jeep-wrangler

While looking at mounts for ARB compressor, convinced myself that I needed the M.O.R.E. steering riser bracket. Didn’t have any issue to suggest I need it but do have BL and also saw it referenced with LS swap write ups which is a long term plan so figured can’t hurt. https://mountainoffroad.com/collections/wrangler-tj/products/jeep-steering-riser-bracket-1

My younger brother stalled it a couple times during his last trip so got the Teraflex hand throttle. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CI42U3G/?tag=wranglerorg-20

He also mentioned that had to borrow a handheld to talk with rest of the group so as soon as I saw they had yellow of course had to get these.

Beautiful keychain ornament
Hahaha
Congrats !!!

Have been much better at buying bits pieces than documenting them. Time for quick catch up. And of course to again say thank you to my younger brother who is keeping the Jeep and doing all work for now while I’m still in Manila.

One reason a few parts have been piling up is because weather has been mostly like this since first of the year.

Was one day in Jan that was nice enough he could take his toys out of garage and do a little work. Mostly prep for the Motobilt bumpers my wife got me for Xmas.

Quick test fit of front confirmed it would need to be opened up a little to fit with the anti-rock as others have reported. Bit of grinding there and to smooth out tow points for soft shackles and time for paint. Rust-oleum self etching primer and textured black.
