Keychain Delivered

Put on a couple WTJF member sourced parts.

Savvy gas tank skid from @Johnnyf. In perfect shape including excellent paint so no prep needed. Took care of gas tank burps while it was out.

Next was np231 with JB Conversions super short SYE and Teraflex 2lo and Tom Woods driveshaft from @toximus. Not only was it well packaged, he even included stickers! No issues with my t-case or driveline vibes without SYE (TY LJ) but great price and keeps me moving in direction of tummy tuck someday. Still having some issues getting linkage and 4wd indicator light sorted but am sure that will work itself out. Also need to get Speedohealer buttoned up and calibrated. One project always seems to spawn 5 others.

Today while trying to adjust t-case shifter the LJ pissed Jeramie off enough to get out hole saw. Amazon says these were delivered 30Mar2020 So I guess it was about time. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072SNG9M3/?tag=wranglerorg-20

He was able to mark, cut, clean edges, and paint any bare metal before it got dark. Hopefully can finish wiring and install lights fairly easily. My wife wasn’t so impressed with her brother-in-law’s humor.

I'm glad you got it installed!

I never had an issue with the 4x4 light or shifting so I'd look at your Jeep end first to fix those.

Absolutely, didn’t mean give any indication that might be t-case. Have Savvy cable shifter and eBay shift rod so I’m sure is just matter of getting it all dialed in.

Today was finishing up bumpers and taillights. Very happy with how everything came out.

Nice clean look and I think should be plenty bright enough.

Not sure how happy am with the Rust-oleum but looks good for now and I’m sure bumpers will need repainted once in a while anyway. Looks like exhaust hangers might be the next project.

Now I can really see the area @jjvw modified on his Motobilt front bumper. Perhaps another future project.

Sitting this weekends FB marketplace find in place to see how will look. I’m sure it is overkill for the LJ and needs bit of cleanup but for $800 with control pack relocation kit couldn’t pass it up. Didn’t come with fairlead so looks like will be needing to get in touch with @Garza for a couple things.

you can get I have small piece of aluminum sheet from Home Depot and make a cover for the top of your winch fairly easy, it will look much better and it keeps the sun off your rope.

TY @DrDmoney now I’m going to be copying your ARB compressor mount and winch cover ideas.

Just small update, all linkage issues fixed t-case readily goes into all 4 options. Five I guess if you count neutral.

Had a wire crossed for the taillights that has been fixed. They have reverse lights that good deal brighter than stock. A light for the plate is something that may need to add.

My exhaust no longer looks like is going to fall off! My brother found guy with small shop not far from his house who fixed all the hangers and put in new SpinTech 6222 (https://spintechmufflers.com/6000-pro-street/) for $50. Will for sure be taking more work to him. Not best video but can tell the LJ has little growl now.

Buy brand new parts and they don’t fit, cut them up of course.

I think am going to be happy with the DupliColor PBT and clear.

While spraying the spare carrier could use a refresh too.

I see from your video that you had previously centered your spare tire and raised it up on the tailgate, what are your plans for it with the new hinges?

I could not be happier with how this turned out. Honestly if you didn’t know the MorRyde had been added looks stock. Still need to get snubber on and adjusted but the 35 fits great.

That aluminum plate was gift from PO. Had been using rubber mallets as snubbers with that set up. The MorRyde comes with offset brackets if you need to push tire up and spacers for the snubbers. Didn‘t use the offset brackets so will just be matter of adjusting to get snubbers right. Spacers with kit look to be bit much but am sure they can be cut down if needed.

One thing that goes away with 35 is the third brake light. Picked up this Xprite from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082MDGRRZ/?tag=wranglerorg-20). It is for JK so need to adjust couple of the mounting holes. My brother wasn’t happy with how it sat against carrier so spaced it out slightly and added some clips to make sure stays in place when pull spare. Hopefully people will know when I’m stopping now.
