I wanted to get out and up again, but the snow got so deep that I couldn't see what was under it and had to turn around. (I didn't get any photos of the deep snow.)

I live in the wrong part of the country for off-roading…..
I do live in a fabulous place for 4-wheeling. I believe there are literally thousands of miles of Jeep roads just in the county I live in (it's a huge county). Almost all of them began as access to prospecting and mining claims, so a lot of them are above timberline (approx. 11,000' elevation).
