Selling a pair of bright LEDs that fit inside the stock TJ tail light housing.

They mount on the sheet metal housing separator plate. I’ll include a proper sized nail that works as a transfer punch to mark where you drill the mounting holes.

Plug the connector into the reverse bulb socket, no wiring alterations required.

These have a nice heat sink and get pretty warm in operation.

The pair draws around 1.6 amps.

$22 for local pickup and $32 shipped in a small USPS flat rate box.

The plate with the 11/64 drilled holes in it, and the high tech transfer punch.

I put the light in so that the edge of the LED lens was even with the metal plate. Your install depth may vary depending on clearance to the tail light cover. Mine just touches it, but doesn’t push it off the seal.

Depending on your housing, you may need to bend this bulb holder tab back towards the body for clearance. I had to on one side of mine but not the other.

Just a guess, but i'll bet the 4th wire goes to the tailgate pins for the 3rd brake light...

Makes sense. I hadn’t thought of that. I’ll give it a shot.

Hey all,

I’m new here. I just bought LED tail lights for my 98 tj and I was able to get my driver side working but the passenger side wires are different colors and they have 4 wires instead of 3. Not sure what to do. Please help! Photo attached.

Looks like a trailer wiring harness.
