Left blinker comes on solid when I brake

I know it sounds odd but the left blinker comes on 80% of the time when I apply the brakes. As soon as I let up on the brake it goes off. It doesn't blink just stays solid green. Any ideas what I can do to fix this?

It's a 1998 TJ, the 4 cylinder model.

Lift up slightly on your turn signal lever when it happens and it will stop doing it. Purposely recenter it after a turn and it will be OK for a while longer. Mine has done it for 10 years, seriously. Never bothered me enough to mess with it…

Yeah, that's what I've been doing. Not too big a deal. The horn's not working either so I thought maybe it's all related.
