There seems to be a panel on the left side fire wall. It looks like it might be for a second battery. Am I correct?

Don't forget that TJ's were built in LH and RH drive so there are design considerations.
My RHD TJ has the battery on the left and a spare place on the right with battery tray where the LHD battery goes

New question.. this is part of the rear wheel arch just aft of the door. Does anyone make this replacment part or do I have to fabricate one??
I thought you did a cowl intake and put the compressor over the right front where the airbox is, so you have space for dual battery.Its for your air compressor!
Geez I forgot about rust after moving from UK to Australia 40 years ago!
Find a donor Jeep that someone is parting out and remove the pieces you need.

I cant believe that rust! There are abandoned 30,s 40,s 50,s and 60,s cars sitting in fields here with the old horse drawn plows ( Hay Seed Art lol) and they only have Patina surface rust! Time for the yanks to start buying back some of the Aussie rust free export models
