Getting a lift and other undercarriage work done soon. Thought it is a good time to deal with some light surface rust before all the new parts are installed. Thinking of steel brushing and spray painting a black Rust-Oleum product.

Better suggestions? Is there a really good product I can spray?

Thanks!

My Jeep is white and the only rust I have is extremely superficial surface rust. I've been using a cone wire wheel, cleaning and hitting it with a couple coats of enamel white. I've read that rubberized undercoatings can cause rust through water retention. I'd just remove the rust, clean and put a good enamel over it. There may be a better way.

I've also used POR-15 on vintage vehicles in the past with good long term results.
