Looking for owner of this 2001 Jeep Wrangler

Just bought this Jeep today, wanted to see if I could find the previous owner. It looks like it needs a new rear axle or just axle housing. I think it has a G2 Core 44 rear axle. Where's a good place to buy the axle or parts for it. This is my first Jeep,any info will be appreciated. Thanks

I believe it's 4 Wheel Parts that sells G2 as their in-house axle brand. @Jerry Bransford knows for sure, but I believe I'm correct.

I wouldn't, they have an aluminum center section and parts are not interchangeable with the "normal" 44's.

Have you tried your local DMV? Yeah I know, going to the DMV is a pain but they may be able to help you track down the previous owner.

It’s not an aluminum center section just a beefy aluminum cover.
