On my Gauge it shows the temp at the 2 of 210. And my heater seems a bit cool would that have to do with the Thermostat.

Either your thermostat is stuck open or someone cluelessly installed the wrong temperature thermostat.
Install a fresh 195 degree thermostat like from Stant (SuperStat from Stant would be a good choice) or similar high quality thermostat.
Make sure the fresh thermostat you install is NOT a "failsafe" type of thermostat. That type of thermostat tends to get stuck in the open position.

210 is exactly where it should run. A 195 degree thermostat is what helps create the environment so the engine runs at 210 as it should.
OP
I just put a 195 thermosta from advanced auto. My gauge was at the same temp as yours and still is with the new one. My heat still sucks. Maybe I sould try a different brand stat?

What's an 84 thermostat? If it's not a 195 degree NON-failsafe thermostat replace it with one. Like a Stant SuperStat.
Sorry Jerry, not reading what I am typing and fat fingers. It is a 195 and I did do a coolant flush and back flushed the heater core.
The temp looks fine. If the system is flushed then I’d look at the blend door

My 99' 2.5 gauge needle basically sits on the # 2 (about 195 on the reader) pretty much all the time in this climate with great heat so I would probably consider a more aggressive core flush.

IMO I don't think you're getting the proper blend door action you're seeking. Your gauge is showing a good temperature and it should be plenty warm in the cab.

I’m not sure it is the blend door for me because I have a 98 witch has the cable blend door not the motor.

Also I don’t think it is the heater core because using a ir thermometer the in and out we’re about the same.
