I was on a pretty rocky trail this weekend and noticed clunking when the suspension was flexing. I think my Skyjacker lower control arms Heim joints are shot.

Wanted to confirm that these are bad before I throw parts at it. Video on Google drive here.

These have less than 10k miles on them. Is skyjacker garbage or did I not grease these enough?

Any suggestions for replacements?

Heim joints do not hold up and are not normally recommended.

According to skyjacker these are Johnny joints. They sent me this rebuild kit

Wondering though since these wore out at <10k miles if I should just ditch them and upgrade to Savvy or something else.

If those are real Johnny Joints (and apparently they are, from the kit they sent you), then switching to Savvy or RockJock will get you the exact same joints.

Is Skyjacker garbage? Often, yes, but they make some good stuff too. Real Johnny Joints are good (made by Currie / RockJock).

How did you grease them? Many folks can't get any grease into them via the zerks, so they take them apart every few thousand miles to regrease them.

I used the zerks. Stopped when I saw grease come out side, but I did always wonder if it made it's way around the ball etc. Lesson learned I probably should have disassembled and packed full of grease on install.

I'm thinking about upgrading to these.

Anyone have any experience with duraflex ends?

Metalcloak bushings are for people who do not understand how bushings ought to work and are easily dazzled by dishonest marketing.
