I think that it's supposed to be a Scottish Claymore sword. The engraving is a play on the wording on a Claymore mine.

What I left Iraq in I think & then what I flew on from Walter Reed to Madigan hospital at Ft Lewis. I think I was the #2 or #3 stretcher above the floor leaving Iraq & then #2 on my flight to Ft Lewis. Really sucks when you're stuck on your back & can't move. And those damn military stretchers aren't comfortable either.
