Made it up to the Minneapolis Institute of Art the other day. That place is amazing! This was probably my favorite display there.

That is some gorgeous engraving. Even back in their day you would hate to shoot them and get them dirty.
 
There was once an art and beauty in manufacturing, but that was long before shareholders and stock prices were a major concern. I often say I was born on the wrong time period.

I wish I knew more about how these were made. I cant imagine how long it took to make them. Absolutely stunning to look at. The craftsmanship was like nothing I've ever seen before.
