Moab wheel question

Good morning. I found a set of Moab 16” wheels somewhat locally. I’m considering purchasing them at four wheels for $300.00. I currently have Mickey Thomson’s 265/75/16 on Black Rock wheels.

Two questions:

Will my current tires fit those rims and subsequently the Jeep well? I don’t know much about offsets, spacers, etc...

Also, is $300.00 for four Moab’s that look like they are in good shape a fair price?

Yes and yes.

I have Moabs and that size tire, and they may rub ever so slightly at full steering lock, but it doesn't bother me. If it did you, a washer on the steering stop would solve that. Of course, not every tire's the same, so you may have a little more rubbing.

As far as the price, $75 per wheel is ok, not great, but ok. You could also get something like this in a 16" wheel:

With a little better backspacing, but they're $120 a wheel.

That's the size I run on my Moab wheels. As far as price, it would be a great price if it were for all 5 wheels.

In Arizona, a set of 4 Moab rims in great condition will go for around $300-$350. A set of 5 will go for $375-$425.

Scratch that, no pun... one of the wheels has some paint chips. My search continues.

Are you running a lift? and if so which one? Love the look of your Rubi! Here's mine, I think we have the same color..

I got a set of 5 brand new 17" Moab's with new tires for $300. Here in LA. Where everything is top price. I'd look for a similar deal. But finding the 16" ones might be harder. Those you might pay more for. But it's harder to find tires for them. So you could use that in your bargaining.

I don't know if the 16's and a Rubicon rub differently. But my stock 99 TJ needed wheel spacers. Which your gonna need anyway. Stick with 1.25" or 1.5" and they shouldn't rub. This way you don't lose any turning radius.

Don't let tires pick your wheels. Wear out what you have and get a good set of 15" wheels. There are a ton more tires to choose from and you will shed pounds on each wheel. 16" wheels are just plain the wrong size for a wrangler UNLESS you are running a big brake kit that requires it.
