Under usual weather conditions, at this time of the year in Athens, Greece the winter is already behind and temps have climbed to almost 20 deg Celsius (think high 60s - low 70s).
However, a cold stream was passing by these days that brought some unexpected snow (not in the city but on the northern suburbs that are located on the outskirts of a mountain called Parnitha.
Ideally, we wanted the trip to be the whole weekend but that was not possible in the end so we at least grabbed the change and took a long day trip to some trails with a couple of friends (3 TJs
).
The terrain consisted of dirt, mud, snow and some ice.
