Mopar Radiator Cracked Plastic

Just as I got back from a drive and parked in the garage I got bunch of antifreeze all over the floor. Opened the hood and there was antifreeze sprayed all over top of front engine area. I looked at the hoses and any other areas that might have failed. Finally I saw that entire plastic top of radiator has a crack. It's original Mopar radiator from 2005 and 91k miles. Its beyond repairable. I ordered a Denso replacement based on forum recommendations. Mopar is hard to find and very expensive. I saw one place asking $650.

You got your money's worth out of that one. Denso is good and WAY less expensive. I've used them in my old XJ, TJ, KJ, WJ and my cars.

I've already got 3 years on my (2nd) Mopar radiator.
Even if I don't keep it 15 more years, I would rather have the reliability of oem while I do own it.
 
My OE Mopar cracked in the same place. Got replaced with Denso. Mopar isn't synonymous with quality............. Not going to pay silly inflated prices just to have an OE part. Denso is working just fine...well actually better....it's not cracked!

I had a new top tank put on mine when it cracked in the same location!

Local shop that I have used for years took care of me for $125.00.

When was that? I have a friend who’s the second generation owner of a radiator shop back home, and he told me a year or two ago that he stopped doing that because the cheap radiators on the market have put the plastic tank companies mostly out of business. He can’t get the plastic tanks anymore. Just curious if I should ask again and insist he look for those specific tanks.

It was November of last year. Don't get me wrong I still purchased a spare radiator also, it's a KoyoRad brand I think I gave $150.00 for it with a lifetime warranty.
