I scraped and sanded the runs out, and then left it for a couple months. Finally got sick of it and spent a few hours sanding and running the high speed buffer this week. It's not perfect, but I'm happy with the result.

The mop was to clean up the stuff that ran off the Jeep on to the floor!Ouch. If it was red it would have looked like a candy apple. No offence (I've been there too) but did you use the mop to clean it up?

They were mounted with a screw through the wheel. I think they are standard Cherokee covers.Do you happen to remember how those silver Jeep center caps were attached? Did they drill out mounting holes and bolt onto backside of the steel wheels like factory steelies or are the they kind that are just held on with the lugnuts?
