This is my 2004 Rocky Mountain Edition with only 43K miles on it. I call "DT1" which is short for "Death Trap One" because it's the first jeep I owned. I learned how to drive in this Jeep and my dad bought it when I was 6 years old. He gave me a key a few years ago and we never do a mod we both don't like.

You're the first person I've seen fold down the front window!

Looks like an awesome rig though!

Post a link to this page on the FB group as well. I'm trying to get more people to start build threads on here.

Brian, it's funny I like some of the special edition stuff I probably would have modified it much differently if it was an X

I agree. The SE side of things are pretty neat. I loved the Alcoa's but the the stock tires were killing the look... Then I found a really good deal on Fuel rims and put 33's on... Are your arches painted?

Yeah, fender flares. Sorry, on the terminology, haha. Coming from a different side of the automotive world. But curious if yours are painted like mine...

They look grey in pictures but out in the sun they look amazing in person. The silver also has a little bit of metallic

Yeah, it's different. At 45 you can get away with overdrive but the motor doesn't really like overdrive unless you're doing more than 50. Don't expect the same acceleration as before. It's still gonna be slower. And when your at speed it requires more throttle to get a response out of it. However it will do 85 (per a GPS) all day long and be happy

Also had my dad in the jeep with 33's and 4.10's next to me and I was in the jeep with 3.07's and 29.5's (metric) both in low range and we started in the same place. Same motor, transmission and transfer case. Only difference was tires and gears. The 4.10's and 33's was barely slower than stock in 4lo
