Hi
Thanks Chris for the fantastic forum.
This is my first Jeep ,I previously owned Toyota’s ,a Hilux an FJ40 and an FJ45 and had never considered a Jeep before.
When I was looking for a 4x4 vehicle a few months ago a friend suggested I look at a Wrangler.
I was looking at JKs and saw a TJ I Fancied. So two days and 1000 km later I was the owner of a silver 2005 TJ

Welcome aboard! Man, when you start off with a "first" (Jeep), you sure start off right. Your little TJ is a beauty! Very nice! And I think you'll find this forum to be full of all kinds of useful information supplied by some pretty dang friendly folks. Enjoy!

Howzit Bru!

First off, nice Jeep! and second, I absolutely love the area your in!

I've spent quite a bit of time in Mosselbaai when I did White Shark Africa.

Welcome!

Welcome @Rocketeer! We have another member from South America, but I always enjoy seeing other people join from around the world.

That’s a fine looking TJ you have, and probably the perfect vehicle to be driving around in South Africa!

How hard are they to get parts for down there?

Welcome to the forum. Are jeep TJs that common in South Africa? I honestly have no idea how many right hand drive TJs were made.

TJ parts aren’t freely available here .
JK parts and accessories are more popular here
Importing spares or making them yourself is the only way to go .

I made my own rocksliders.

The coastal mountain range there is pretty epic. I've never seen anything like what I saw from the top of Table Mountain in Cape Town before!

Looking forward to seeing your photos as I know just about all the terrain there is right up my alley.
