NGL, it's becoming an obsession. is @astjp2 still around? He knows more about them than I do. I'm but a lowly padawan.
Do you still like the Transgo 2 Kit? Not much out there as it relates to the 32rh, the 42rle there is a ton of folks.
I didn't do a shift kit, but Transgo is the only one I would use if I were to go down that road.
I like the Transgo kit. I did it to keep the trans from slipping between gear changes which should increase life and reduce temps. I would definitely recommend it. Just remember you are not building a race car so do get as excited as I did and go with the bigger drill sizes on the ports. If I did it again I would go with the smaller drill bit selection as my 2-3rd shift can be a little abrupt.Do you still like the Transgo 2 Kit? So the 727 and the 999/32rh all have transgo shift kits in mine. The key focus for me to take care of the cold weather sniffles and pumping up the torque converter in park. The sonnax kits are the only options for those and are proven through 3000 hp drag cars for reliability. Also setting the kickdown is crucial to long life. Both of mine have external coolers and I don’t use the one in the radiator.
Why would you omit the radiator cooler? The radiator cooler is a heat exchanger, it also warms up the trans fluid in cold weather. You should, IMO, run an external cooler in series before the radiator cooler so you get the benefits of both.
I think the best order is trans to radiator to external cooler to trans.
This would defeat the purpose of the heat exchanger stabalizing temps. You would be cooling fluid that needed to be warmed.

How hot is your transmission running?? I'm assuming your engine runs around 210, if my transmission spends any time in that range then I'm very concerned, considering it normally peaks around 165 after adding the cooler. Maybe your setup breeds higher trans temps?, and the trans temp is actually warmer than the glycol
Yep, 100% fits.
The other pan I found off a different trans that happens to bolt up doesn’t have the right clearance.
Now, if I can figure out how not to slobber oil when changing the oil filter.
