My wife keeps gaslighting me and I'm over it

Do you think the fuel pump lies in the bottom of the tank?

Most modern FI engines do I believe.

In the case of the 05-06 TJ, The answer to both of you might be "yes, but..."

The pump is at least in the bottom half, but I haven't had this module apart to know exactly how low.

That being said, it looks as though it's always submerged regardless of the tank level, as it sits in a bucket of sorts that gets filled by the regulator return dump tube, constantly replenishing the supply of cool fuel to the pump "cooling bucket".

So yes it needs fuel to keep cool, and yes it's in the bottom of the tank, but the design is such that it has that regardless of the level in the tank.

If I understand it correctly it's actually kinda clever.

My wife says it takes too much of HER time to pump gas. Over the years I have learned to not argue with her (scars…😁.) but, I do try to explain to her that it will be more time consuming to wait for AAA to bring her gas.
Her solution is to just drive my TJ that has gas.

My wife drives a prius... there has been more than one occasion that the electric motor got her to the gas station.

The big issue we have, is she will forget to put the JT into park when she uses it, which will kill the battery (it wont turn the truck off not in park) It's another side effect of driving the Prius... you pull into a space, and only need to hit the start/stop button as it will automagically go into park.
