This is my 49 billionth post on this, but no luck, so I’m going to try to detail every little thing this Jeep has done. It started with, at random, it only cranking. I thought maybe the fuse box being shaken around could have messed up something because when I would mess with it, I’d either replace a relay that had something to do with it starting, such as the starter relay or fuel pump relay, at random, or I’d shake the fuse box, and it would work. I don’t know which fixed it.

I was up at Jeep Invasion, and the thing started without an O2 sensor relay, or it could have been the fuel pump relay; I can’t remember now. It’s stuck at my house now, and when I turn the key on, the gauges don’t even show, nor does the fuel pump prime—I can’t hear it. I tried to get the codes on the odometer to read, but nothing happened. A fellow mentioned something about the ignition, but I never found out what he meant.

The crank times are almost random too—one start can be instant, while another can take a good bit. I’ve been stranded multiple times and now I’m almost completely defeated. I’ve thrown tons of money at it and nothing has worked. I’m simply about done. If anyone has some kind of insight, please let me know.

I was just venting about this a few days ago. I work with a lot of men and women between the of ages 18-23 who have a real tough time communicating. Forget face to face communication. Everyone has tik tok brain. But even worse is the lack of ability to string together a coherent sentence via the written word. Emails and pass-downs/turnovers are useless.

Texting, memes, emoji’s, and “lol”, “jk”, “brb” (<— whatever you call that) are going to be the death of us.

In my defense I wasnt much thinkin of coherancy when I posted, Id just got done with wire hell and was pissed. Ill fix it 💀

If nothing is happening when you turn the key, it may be the ignition switch actuator and/or ignition key cylinder is worn out.

I was in the automotive industry for over 30 years and have found on many vehicle problem communication is the biggest problem. This would happen all the time on noise complaints or other intermittent problems. A customer would come in and state “ my car does this …. All the time”. The technician get in the vehicle and test drive around the block, the problem doesn’t occur. They come back no problem found. Customers would do this to themselves thinking these statements would help.
I have helped many people get their vehicle problems resolved with a little coaching on how to communicate the problem to the service personnel without all the bs that muddies up the conversation.

I went back through your “49 billion posts” and found 3.
I guess you have a problem where the vehicle cranks ( starter turns engine over) but won’t start at times ( intermittently)? Is this correct?

Definitely start with basics. Battery voltage. Clean terminals, check grounds. Check fuel pressure, spark especially through the no start condition.
