Hey guys - have a strange chirping noise that happens when giving it throttle. It is coming from the rear (I took out the front drive shaft to make sure). Here is a video for y’all. It seems to be rotational and gets faster and higher pitch wise with speed. Any idea what it can be? Transmission mount is good, u joints were replaced 2 years ago and feel solid. Either a rear drive shaft issue or brake issue (but it doesn’t make sense with the relation to throttle). Exhaust bolts/mounts are all good.

That sure sounds like u-joint to me. could it be coming from the front ?

I took out the front drive shaft and drove it around (it’s still out) and the noise and vibration is still there. So I’m pretty sure it’s coming from the rear somewhere.

Put the front back in and take out the rear this time and put it in 4HI

going to do that next. Need to replace the front u joints first since I dropped a cap on the ground
Does it do it immediately or does it take time to "warm up"?
The noise seems to go away once the jeep warms up (25+ min) I tried to drive to my friends house to work on it but it was after I drove the jeep around all day and it wouldn’t make the noise

I replaced all 5 u joints on the front and rear driveshafts and the noise and vibration are both gone. Found the culprit on the rear drive shaft that connects to the differential.
