Need advice on radiator

I vote for do it yourself if you haven’t already. Be wise and replace everything you can tho. Radiator hoses at least please.
If you run into any big problems get on here and someone will help or PM me and I’ll give you my number and talk you through ANY issues you could have replacing the radiator and hoses.
Read about filling the system properly and go for. Why else do you have that tool bag?

Thankfully I was able to get home safely just driving it. I bought a few bottles of coolant before the drive, expecting it to all leak out, but I had almost no leakage, not even enough to add coolant.

As for the repair, since it's back home, my parents want me to take it to the mechanic. Which is fine; I'll have them check the rest of the system while they're in there, and probably have them replace the water pump as well.

Lastly, thank yall for all the advice and knowledge. It's good to know that if I need to make this repair in the future, it's something that I could actually do

Yep! Boone came within a few inches of breaking our previous record for rain set in 1940, which was about 13 inches. And since that rain is all funneled into the valley there were areas with 2 or 3 feet worth of flash flood waters.

In the picture of us standing in the water was my buddy. He is 6'3" and is leaning on a mailbox for scale. We were going to make a rescue. His grandfather is in a wheel chair and was trapped. Walked a mile through water like that. We were prepared to carry him back to the truck but lucky for us we found a paddle board floating around. Stole it and put his grandpa on it and pushed him the mile back to the truck. This was very unnerving because we saw lots of snakes and several "things" making wake in the water, presumably sharks. It was not fun.

Easy fix. I don't like plastic end tanks, and the TJ radiator is fully supported on a non-flexing item, which is the grill. I used a Griffin Radiator aluminum single row, and fitment is 100% with no leaks.
