I'd pass. Put up a wanted ad on craigslist and see what turns up. I got a clean set of uppers and lowers for $400 but need to paint them to match and find latches (unfortunately I don't have a white Jeep...).
I’d love to have those interior panelsLooking at a set of half doors. Seller wants $550 for set with newer uppers but no mirrors. Issue is rust in the pinch welds at bottom. What causes this? Water instruction from above then can't drain out bottom? Is this a serious issue or can I just sand down and repaint doors. Aside from this they appear to be in pretty good condition. Should I keep looking? Not like there is a plethora of half doors for sale.

Good luck ever being able to find interior panels in that great of shape. If it were me, id buy just for the panels, re skin them, and be done.Looking at a set of half doors. I probably am. He accepted my offer of 400 for lowers and uppers. Heading there today to inspect and pick up if checks out. Taking my trim removal tools to take interior panel off too check inside door just to make sure not rotted out inside.Good luck ever being able to find interior panels in that great of shape. Checking on these others in West Virginia that you sent me to see if they're still available now. Thank you.every year, up in the NE, pull a pin that holds on rubber molding down low on the door. use fluid film and a 360* wand to enter that hole and saturate the interior bottom of the doors.
that rust is just like our frames and is starting inside.
those look like they'd be some work to save, what the seller did was not what will be required to make them last.

I would not purchase those at any price.... Anywhere you go about it you end up finding rust also those things are rough enough to chew up your tub paint if they ever touch it.Ty. I was thinking 350-450
Red ones sold. Heading to pick up the yellow ones now. No rust, woohoo! Thank you @someguysjeepevery year, up in the NE, pull a pin that holds on rubber molding down low on the door. use fluid film and a 360* wand to enter that hole and saturate the interior bottom of the doors.

They look really good in the photos. Let's hope they look just as good in person, LOL. He bought them last year and they've been in his attic since. Name is Steve.I just looked at those yellow doors in the link. They are in the town I’m originally from. I don’t know the guy though.

Thank you, @someguysjeep it did indeed pan out. Zero rust in the pinch welds or any part of the door for that matter except where the soft upper rubbed the top on driver door. Plus they have black interior panels! Yea! I almost hate to paint over the original yellow factory paint. As I know yellow ones are very rare. Still has factory stickers. Brand new uppers still in box too. Anyways, wanted everyone to know it worked out and I now have nice half doors. A few pics.they don't look bad. .hope it pans out for you.
I know some aren’t interested in matching the half door key cylinders to their own ignition key because soft tops and half doors aren’t secure to begin with, but if you’re like me and just want things to work like they are supposed to, the cylinders are real easy to re-key.
I wrote up a How-To on it.

Yes. I read that when you posted it and will be doing it. I am the same way in wanting things to work as they should. Very nice! Congratulations! I've been following this thread. I was lucky and found my half doors years ago in my matching red color. You'll love those half doors. I switch out my full doors in late spring, early summer for my half doors. Enjoy! Keep us posted as you paint them to match your Jeep.Thank you, @someguysjeep it did indeed pan out.
