New FS1 ECM troubles

I have a recent PCM from FS1. Shipping was a nightmare — and as has been mentioned here — customer service is non-existent. Went so far as to issue me a "tracking number" that was just them clicking a pre-paid USPS Priority Mail carton. Didn't ship for nearly another week.

Having said that, my SKIM was disabled. Module still physically installed, just ignored by the PCM.

Funny thing is, I've reached out on a number of occasions and told FS1 about this thread and many others dogging their customer service. They've never once responded.

Those guys are clearly lacking in the customer service department. I'd leave them a negative review on Google personally.

Boy, I just don't understand a company like what FS1 appears to be. I fully understand an occasional glitch in a product, especially when dealing with electronics. What I don't understand a business, especially a small boutique business, that willingly screws their customers. Not anymore. Now that anyone from anywhere can easily find out about their crap parts. The number of people who could buy your product will almost certainly be on a forum asking for information. A thread like this could possibly cause them to go out of business completely. Or a thread could double, triple their business easily. Why do these places willingly screw their customers? It just baffles me.

Exactly....look at the difference between FS1 and Wrangler Fix. FS1 hides behind a call center staffed with people who know nothing about the product they are selling. On the other hand, Mark Cantrell, the owner of Wrangler Fix puts his face out there and personally speaks to every customer. Orders for the Wrangler Fix product are on the rise and performance reports are 100% positive.

Unfortunately, there are a group of folks out there on the forums who believe that the positive reports are suspicious because many are from first time posters. I guess they think Mark is “planting” these? Highly unlikely.

I've never dealt with WranglerFix, but I can't recommend FS1 on anything other than price and quality of the product I received. I do suspect my 'warranty' will be worthless if this unit takes a dump, based on my experiences with FS1 so far...
