Hello, my name is Matt and I'm from Arizona. I have a Solar Yellow 2004 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. (Her name is Sonora) I've had it for 3 years now and still loving it. I'm still in the process of making it "mine", as the previous owner did some things that I didn't like. I will admit that I am anti-JK as I believe the TJs are the last of the real Jeeps. JKUs are especially fugly! I'm the type of guy who loves to do as much of my own work on my Jeep as I can. If it's beyond me, then I'll enlist someone in the know. If I can't do that, then I'll resort to taking it to an off-road shop. I'm glad to see a forum for TJs!

I've attached a pic of my Jeep when I first bought it. I've also attached pics of how she sits right now. I've waiting for my new flat fenders to arrive before the cutting begins.

That's a damn fine looking Rubicon you've got there. I really love the yellow on black! We've got several other yellow ones on here too, including @VirtualRussel.

What do you have planned for it?

I will be installing some MCE flat fenders as soon as they arrive. I don't have the template yet, so I've got to wait until the big brown truck shows up. Once I have the fenders on I'm going to relocate the license plate to the center of the spare tire. I'm also planning on changing out the tail lights to LEDs. I still haven't figured out which route I'm going to go with though. As it stands, I see 3 possibilities. Go with the Max-Bilt set and call it good, go with the Maxxima set or do the grommet style and drill extra holes in the tub for reverse lights.

Once I get the rear lighting sorted out, I plan on upgrading the steering to the Currie Currectlync or the Ultimate Currie Steering Kit from Savvy. After that, I should be good for a little while.

If you're moving the license plate anyway, you really should check out the Savvy LED taillights, those look the best, and no drilling.

I thought about going that route, but I'm really wanting to go with the round utilitarian look. After much debate, I decided on the Maxxima LEDs. They will arrive one Friday along with the Currie Anti-Rock Sway Bar. Goodbye, JKS Quick Disconnects!

Welcome aboard! Nice Rubi. I'll be interested to see how your fenders turn out!

Wanna sell the JKS disconnects? If so PM me!

I'm very pleased with the MCE fender flares. Install was pretty easy too. I do plan on selling my JKS disconnects. I'm also selling my Quadratec LED tail lights. I opted to go a different route.

I had to go to Ace to get some nuts and bolts for some other projects I was working on.

Haha, that RC crawler tripped me out for a second. I was looking at thinking it was real and wondering what was going on. Then it hit me!
