First off thanks having apart of the group! And I apologize in advance if I am doing something wrong! Question is, will I have any issues bolting up a motor out of a 98 TJ into my 99 TJ. I know the casting numbers are different.

Welcome to the forum. I don't believe you would have any trouble putting a 98 TJ engine into a 99 jeep TJ assuming you are changing the same size motor, i.e. from a bad 4.0 liter to a good 4.0 liter. If you are changing from a 2.5 liter to a 4.0 I know its been done but I don't have the experience to tell you what the pitfalls are. The TJ engine changed in 2000 (ignition system changed, no distributor cap after 99').
